Development-Focused Peer Review of Teaching applications due Oct. 17

TLC default

Applications for the second cohort of the Teaching and Learning Center Development-Focused Peer Review of Teaching program are due Friday (Oct. 17).

Sarah McCorkle, administrative director of the Teaching and Learning Center, will facilitate the cohort as they participate in formative, development-focused peer review in a supportive environment from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 and Dec. 11.

Peer review pairs will also self-schedule meetings throughout November.

A collection of peer review forms will be provided to help instructors learn how to effectively give and receive a peer review of teaching.

Commitment time is approximately 8-10 hours.

Space is limited.

Learn more and apply by Oct. 17.

While the WVU Teaching and Learning Center supports peer review for formative purposes, the skills that will be covered are also useful when conducting summative peer reviews for annual evaluation. Learn more about this approach.

The first cohort has kicked off at WVU Tech in Beckley.
