The Women’s Resource Center invites the community to help honor those murdered by acts of domestic violence Oct. 13-17 in the Mountainlair, Vandalia Lounge.
The exhibit is a collection of life-sized silhouettes that represent West Virginians who were murdered by a family member or intimate partner.
As part of a national initiative to raise awareness about the tragedy of domestic violence, viewers are encouraged to help end the vicious cycle of domestic violence by doing the following:
Remember those who were murdered by acts of domestic violence.
Raise awareness in our local communities.
Connect people to local resources.
Advocate to end domestic violence.
Legislate to hold abusers accountable.
The exhibit is funded in part by the Big 12 Violence and Discrimination Awareness and Prevention Fund.
