The WVU Board of Governors has issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to amend WVU BOG Talent and Culture Rule 3.5 — Employee Leave.
The proposed amendments are designed to reduce cost while increasing flexibility for the University.
Key changes include giving the University authority to decide whether to pay out unused annual leave through a lump sum or terminal leave period, as well as allowing the transfer of annual leave balances from affiliated entities. These updates aim to streamline processes and better support incoming employees.
The Rule and associated documentation are open for public comment starting today (June 16) through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, July 17.
All public comments received, or a summary thereof, will be posted on the University’s policy website for 10 days prior to the BOG taking final action. The Rule may be changed, subject to comments received.
