Several important systems will be unavailable at various times this weekend, starting Friday (March 14) to Sunday (March 16), due to quarterly system security upgrades that require more time than our normal maintenance windows allow.

  • Mountaineer Marketplace will be unavailable from 9 p.m. Friday (March 14) through noon Sunday (March 16).

  • MAP, Applaud and related services will be offline from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday (March 15). Wall clocks will remain operational during this time for employees who need to record hours. Employees who don’t have access to wall clocks should work with their supervisors to log time.

  • Faculty, staff and students on all campuses may be unable to log into many services requiring WVU Login credentials from 7 a.m. to noon Sunday (March 16). Services include but are not limited to Portal, STAR and STAR-related systems, eCampus, SOLE, Virtual Private Network, MAP, Applaud, Salesforce, High Performance Computing, Kuali, WVU Research Administration Portal, WVUHire (Taleo), MyExpenses, FTP and bulk mailing services such as LISTSERV and Zoom meetings that require a WVU login.

The login.wvu.edu self-service site may also be unavailable, so you may be unable to claim accounts, change passwords, generate Duo codes or update your recovery contact information during this time.

It is common to see an error message when trying to log in after a system update. If you have problems once this work has been completed, try clearing your web browser history, closing your web browser and relaunching it. Rebooting your device will also clear cached pages.

If you still have problems after taking these steps, call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.
