All WVU employees can use the Microsoft Teams webinar feature to host interactive virtual events for up to 1,000 participants as an alternative to Zoom. Anyone who can schedule a Teams meeting can schedule a webinar.
A webinar differs from a Teams Meeting by offering pre- and post-event management features, such as registration and reports. It provides a more structured environment than a meeting, allowing you to specify your presenters and control audience interaction.
Webinars can be public or restricted to WVU employees. Presenters can also use polls to manage audience participation.

Note that, because students do not have automatic access, Microsoft Teams is not currently suited for academic instruction.

To enhance team collaboration and streamline your tasks, Information Technology Services suggests integrating Microsoft Teams into your daily workflow. Teams is a free, flexible and secure Office 365 application available to all WVU employees. It supports remote and hybrid work environments, improves collaboration and helps declutter your email inbox.
