Art in the Libraries Faculty/Staff Exhibit Award call for proposals

Art in the Libraries graphic

The WVU Libraries’ Art in the Libraries Committee invites faculty and staff to submit proposals for the 2025 Faculty/Staff Exhibit Award to visually showcase their scholarship in new and experimental ways.

Whether you wish to present the evolution of your work, visualize research influences or answer a research question through art, we encourage you to share your ideas.

Proposals should be based on academic or creative research and lend themselves to visual interpretation with support from WVU Libraries.

The selected project will be displayed at the Downtown Library Complex, Room 1020, and the awardee will receive $1,000 in professional development funds, as well as assistance with design, installation and promotion.

Additionally, the awardee will have the opportunity to host a public program, lecture or demonstration about their research and winning exhibit.

Find examples of past award winners’ exhibitions and proposals to help guide your submission.

Detailed submission instructions and criteria can be found in the proposal form.

The deadline for submission is Dec. 31.
