The debut of the new WVU Research Administration Portal is less than a month away, so please register if you have not yet attended a training session. This is critical if you are planning a proposal submission for January or February.
After the launch of Grants, Agreements and Conflict of Interest in WRAP, the Research Office will continue to offer instructor-led training. This will occur on a less frequent cadence after March 2025.
The WRAP system and processes will support the growth of WVU research and reduce administrative burden by streamlining reviews and approvals, decreasing duplicative data entry, improving the visibility of submission status, keeping all correspondence in a single system and ensuring compliance is built in at every step. Reviewers and compliance staff will also have more transparency in submissions, enabling them to be more proactive with PIs.
The IRB protocol system in WVU+kc will not change with the launch of WRAP.
To ensure appropriate submission planning as WVU transitions to WRAP, please also note the following WVU+kc freeze dates:
Tuesday, Dec. 31: The last day to submit a Clinical Trial Registration or Clinical Data Use Agreement (DUA) in WVU+kc.
Sunday, Jan. 12: The last day to use existing forms and processes for agreements.
For questions or concerns, contact ResearchConnect@mail.wvu.edu.
The replacement of WVU+kc is part of the Research Connect workstream in the WVU Modernization Program. This multi-year program also includes a redesign of business processes and system integrations to reduce duplicative data entry.
