Encourage students to apply for annual MLK Scholarship

Undergraduate students who exemplify the values and ideals taught by Martin Luther King Jr. are invited to apply for the scholarship by Friday (Dec. 13).

The award recognizes active interest and involvement in areas of social justice, civil rights and world peace.

The recipient of the award will be announced during the 2025 MLK Unity Breakfast slated for 9:30 a.m. Jan. 18 in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

WVU is also seeking nominations for the MLK Achievement Award.

The prestigious award is presented annually to a resident of West Virginia who best exemplifies the values and ideals taught by Martin Luther King Jr. 

The award recognizes substantial contributions to the advancement of civil and human rights, humanitarianism, social action, and/or the advancement of diversity and inclusion.

The recipient of the award will be announced during the 2024 MLK Unity Breakfast slated for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.
