WVU Press to host virtual conversation on political campaign challenges

Virtual Political Conversation

Would you run for office if you knew you wouldn’t win?

Join the WVU Press for a moderated conversation with author Matthew Ferrence and political candidate Kate Barr as they share the story of two regular citizens challenging entrenched systems — each in a different way — with the hope of an unlikely outcome from 7-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, on Zoom.

Ferrence is the author of “I Hate It Here, Please Vote for Me,” and Barr is the Democratic candidate for North Carolina Senate District 37.

The virtual conversation will be moderated by Eberly Family Distinguished Professor of Political Science Erik Herron.

The event is open to the public.
