The Youth and Parent Pride Network will host its inaugural event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Wiles Hill Community Center in Morgantown.
The free event will focus on supporting LGBTQ+ youth ages 11 to 14 and/or their parents.
Food, games, crafts, giveaways and other activities will be offered during the first hour of the event, followed by breakout group sessions for young attendees and a breakout group for parents to foster a sense of community and support.
All event volunteers have completed Safe Zone Training through the WVU LGBTQ+ Center.
