The Center for Community Engagement has provided information on the launch of the Dollars for Disaster website. The website offers ways to help East Tennessee State University and the area surrounding Asheville, North Carolina, in recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene caused catastrophic flooding and destruction.
Faculty and staff can provide support by sending donations to the agencies working on the ground or toward resources that assist students. We ask that you avoid traveling to these areas for now, as they are still in the emergency recovery phase and additional traffic could place further strain on local nonprofits.
