WVU short-term parking lots going cashless

parking lot area st 9

To operate more efficiently and cost effectively, the WVU Parking team will transition to cashless payments in all WVU-owned short-term parking lots on campus beginning July 1.

Drivers may continue to pay for short-term parking through the ParkMobile app or by using a credit or debit card at a pay station.

The Parking team began transitioning to cashless payments in January when it moved to cashless payments at the Parking Management Office at Mountaineer Station. The office accepts payment via credit or debit card and check for items like citations and parking permits.

In recent years, less than 2% of short-term parking sales were made with cash while about 75% were through ParkMobile and about 23% were through credit or debit card at pay stations.
