Resilience Ambassador Program seeking high school students

High school students

Faculty and staff are invited to nominate high school students ages 15-19 in Monongalia County who are passionate about creating positive change in their community for the Resilience Ambassador Program.

The program will enroll 25 students who are ready to help build more vibrant communities locally by honing their leadership qualities and mapping skills. Participants will also use team-based scientific inquiry to identify important cultural, environmental and economic assets while creating an assessment of community vulnerability to future flood hazards in the county.

In addition to building friendships and having fun, students will learn the concepts and skills that will enable them to prepare for tomorrow and lead community building efforts in their neighborhoods, towns and rural homeplaces.
