The Facilities Management team is working with WVU’s steam provider on a planned steam outage for the Downtown area of campus from 6 a.m. Saturday (May 25) through 6 a.m. Sunday, June 9.
All steam will be shut down during the outage. Heating, domestic hot water and lab steam will be affected at the following campus buildings:

Heating and domestic hot water also will be affected in the following residence halls:

Air conditioning is not expected to be impacted during the outage. However, the Facilities team will continually monitor temperatures in campus buildings and residence halls and make any necessary adjustments.
Researchers should consider delaying any new research projects that could be impacted by this outage if at all possible.
The steam outage currently affecting the Evansdale campus will end at 6 a.m. on Saturday (May 25).
These outages are designed to accommodate enhancements, repairs and testing to the University’s steam infrastructure. We appreciate your patience as we complete this critical work at a time that will have the least impact on our faculty, staff and students.
