The University’s fourth annual lumber sale, featuring lumber made from the historic E. Moore Hall American sycamore tree, will be held from 5-7 p.m. today (Oct. 6) in the parking lot of the Canady Creative Arts Center.
The last remaining usable wood from the American sycamore has been milled into pieces of lumber and air-dried for this unique upcycling opportunity. Customers will have the option to get their four-foot board branded with the Flying WV logo, or they may choose to leave their lumber plain.
Boards will be sold for $50 each through cash or check only and limited to one piece per customer. All proceeds will support continued tree planting and maintenance on the WVU campus.
