Two career fairs scheduled for next week

Career Fair

WVU Career Services will host the Agriculture and Natural Sciences Career and Internship Fair on Sept. 13, targeting students interested in agriculture, environmental restoration, food production, forestry, landscaping, wildlife protection and related fields.

The STEM Career and Internship Fair, expecting a record turnout of employers targeting students interested in chemistry, construction, cybersecurity, engineering, healthcare, IT, software development, supply chain and related fields, will be held on Sept. 14.

This sold-out event will feature 200 companies, the largest in its history.

“This career fair has expanded quickly,” said Rachael Conrad, assistant director of employer relations at Career Services. “The purpose of this event is to give students the chance to make connections in their preferred industries and provide some of the best hires for these companies.”

Both events will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Rec Center. Professional attire is required and free professional headshots will be available.

Career Fairs, open to students and alumni of all majors, are career pathway-based, not major pathway-based events.

Some short-term parking lots on the Evansdale Campus will be closed to host prospective employers.

In collaboration with the colleges, we would like to thank Landcare, the Agriculture and Natural Sciences event sponsor; and our STEM event sponsors: Ecolab-Nalco, Martin Marietta, Momentive, P&G and Whiting-Turner.
