Joseph McVey, who has served as a professional technologist with University Relations/Enrollment Management since 2013, was recently recognized for his significant contributions to the higher education community during a virtual ceremony hosted by Liaison.

McVey is also an inaugural member of the TargetX Rockstar Hall of Fame, a group of the most advanced and collaborative users of the trusted TargetX recruiting and retention platform offered by Liaison to enhance student success.

“Joe is one of the most recognizable names among our community of celebrated contributors,” said Zach Varga, Liaison vice president for client success. “For years, he has been a staunch advocate for optimizing the digital experience of students at his institution and never misses an opportunity to connect with peers from other institutions with the shared mission of exchanging knowledge and growing together.”

TargetX offers customer relation management solutions for recruitment, admissions and retention in higher education. WVU uses the TargetX CRM platform to support the recruitment and enrollment efforts of its undergraduate, graduate and online programs.

“Joe embraces technology to help solve problems and create streamlined services for our students, staff and partners,” Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management George Zimmerman said. “His innovative thinking and detailed knowledge on the TargetX CRM platform allows WVU to respond to this ever-changing environment in ways that would not be possible without his input.

“He is an incredible asset to the team and the University at large,” Zimmerman added.
