Join the WVU Research Office for “Substance Use among Older Adults with Alexis Kuerbis” from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, in the Greenbrier Room of the Mountainlair or on Zoom.
Kuerbis is an associate professor at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College of the City University of New York. She is a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience in a variety of clinical, public health and social services settings and specializing in substance abuse treatment.
Her research focuses on two major areas: Mechanisms of behavior change for problem drinkers within brief treatments and social service interventions as well as outside treatment settings, and older adults who use mood-altering substances.
