Beginning Monday, Oct. 24, all clinical trial protocols and participant data will be expected to be in OnCore.
OnCore will be the primary source for all protocol and participant data for clinical trials being conducted at WVU Health Sciences. Data entered in OnCore will be linked and exported to EPIC.
Failure to ensure that trial protocols and trial participant data are entered into OnCore precludes the ability to submit research orders and participant research visit information in EPIC, thereby potentially compromising appropriate research billing and patient safety.
The OnCore administrators will be reaching out to each research team individually to help with data cleanup.
There will be an informational training session on Oct. 21 as part of the Clinical Trials Toolkit Series to review in more detail required data fields and workflows. This training is mandatory for all coordinators and protocol entry personnel conducting clinical trials.
If you are unable to attend, the training will be taped and stored in SOLE.
