Video highlights Country Roads Scholars Tour stops in Clay County

Members of a traveling West Virginia University delegation participated in service projects in Clay County earlier this summer as part of the Be Wild, Be Wonderful, Be Healthy project run through the College of Applied Human Sciences in partnership with WVU Extension.

A new video features some of the participants.

A five-year effort funded through the Centers for Disease Control’s High Obesity Program, Be Wild, Be Wonderful, Be Healthy is a community-based project that aims to create local solutions to West Virginia’s health-related challenges by supporting projects in Clay County and McDowell County that increase access to physical activity and healthy foods.

Clay County stops included Risen Lord Food Pantry in Maysel and Community Care of Big Otter in Ivydale.
