The Teaching and Learning Commons will offer the ACUE Designing Learner-Centered and Equitable Courses micro-credential course open to instructors at all the WVU campuses (Morgantown, Beckley, Keyser, Martinsburg and Charleston) from May 16 to June 26.
Space is limited and the deadline to register for this summer course is April 27.
The course is based on the Association of College and University Educators framework. As part of this offering, you have the option of completing four asynchronous online courses (one per semester) and receiving a micro-credential at the end of each. Upon completion of all four courses, you will receive a teaching certificate that is endorsed by the American Council on Education. Those who have already earned the ACUE Effective Teaching Practices certificate can complete three of these courses to earn an Advanced Certificate in Effective College Instruction.
As part of this summer course, we will host a Course Launch for participants new to ACUE May 12 from 1-2 p.m. and a Design Seminar May 17 from 10 a.m.-noon for those who are new to course design and provides the opportunity to get a head start on the first three modules. Attendance at these sessions is voluntary, though it would be beneficial. If you are selected to participate, you will be notified of how to register for these sessions.
