Join the 4th Annual Black Love Day Celebration

Black Love

Rise WVU will host its 4th Annual Black Love Day Celebration with an interactive panel discussion facilitating meaningful dialog about building Black camaraderie for WVU's students and community Saturday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Black Love Day was founded by Nya Akoma on Feb. 13, 1993, as an alternative to Valentine’s Day. This nationally commemorated African American holiday has the spiritual goals of encouraging black self-love instead of self-hatred, increasing peace to stop violence and facilitating racial healing.

Register for this Feb. 12 panel discussion.
