To ensure your 2021 Form W-2 is mailed to your current home mailing address, WVU Tax Services reminds all faculty and staff who have moved during 2021 to update their mailing address at the “Personal Information” link through the MyHR tab at portal.wvu.edu.

All addresses should be updated by Friday, Dec. 31, to ensure your W-2 form is mailed to your current address.

The 2021 W-2 forms will be mailed to the employee’s home address for all WVU faculty and staff — including WVU Potomac State College, WVU Tech at Beckley and WVU Parkersburg —on or before Jan. 31.

W-2 forms also will be available online for current WVU employees through the MyHR tab at portal.wvu.edu. Note: Temporary WVU login accounts are not available. If you do not have a current WVU login account, you will have to wait for the paper version of your W-2 to be mailed.

The release date for the online W-2 forms is not yet available, but the forms will be available before Jan. 31.

WVU Tax Services also recommends all employees perform a year-end review of their pay statement to ensure deduction and tax withholdings are correct. It is important that all employees review their pay statements regularly to ensure accuracy.

W-2 form questions may be directed to WVU Tax Services at tax@mail.wvu.edu. For verification purposes, be sure to provide:

  • Your name.

  • A contact telephone number.

  • The month and year of your birth.

  • Either your WVUID or your employee number.

For your protection, please do not provide your Social Security number via email when requesting W-2 information.
