WVU Faculty and Staff Assistance Program provides support during holiday season

holiday mask

Most people would say that the holiday season normally brings both elements of joy and difficulty. But as COVID-19 continues to loom, some of our joyful experiences are more challenging or may not happen at all.

The WVU Faculty Staff Assistance Program offers a mix of telehealth via Zoom or urgent in-person appointments and has expanded its hours of operation to offer evening appointments to help faculty and staff fit counseling into the busy holiday season and to access services from their own homes.

Services are available to all benefits-eligible WVU employees, employee dependents and retired employees.

FSAP offers the following:

  • Experienced, licensed behavioral health clinicians.

  • Confidential services, provided by telehealth with HIPAA compliant Zoom, are accessible nearly everywhere you get phone service

  • Assessments, counseling, referrals and follow-up services for employees who are struggling, or who just might need a little support to get through this difficult time.

  • Employees are not required to use their insurance benefits and each employee (and her/his/their dependents) are eligible for three free sessions a year.

For an appointment, contact us  at 304-293-5590 or fsap@hsc.wvu.edu.
