Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Meshea L. Poore continues her weekly series of short videos, exploring topics centered on helping members of the WVU community live, learn and work together with care and respect for each other.
This week’s video, released Oct. 5, addresses intersectionality.
“When we talk about intersectionality – we are acknowledging that each person maneuvers through life with their own combination of experiences and perspectives based on how they identify,” said Poore. “It’s important for us all to keep this idea of intersectionality in mind as we act and react to things going on around us and the people we live, work and study with.”
