West Virginia University conducted a test of its WVU Alert emergency messaging system for the Morgantown campus Tuesday (Aug. 31).
If you did not receive an email or text message during this test, visit alert.wvu.edu to add or update your contact information and ensure it is correct. Students are automatically enrolled, but faculty and staff must manually register their email addresses and cell phone numbers to receive WVU Alerts.
We encourage all employees and students to follow the @WVUalert Twitter, the @WVUsafety Twitter, and the WVU Safety and Wellness Facebook page to receive important updates. You can also utilize the LiveSafe app to receive messages. Other app features include the abilities to anonymously report tips to WVU Police through direct two-way communication and virtually walk home with friends or family.
