Red Cross needs Disaster Action Team Volunteers

Volunteers

Would you like to learn new skills, accumulate volunteer hours and enhance your professional resume all while helping others in need? If the answer is yes, your local Red Cross has an urgent need for Disaster Action Team volunteers to respond locally as well as those willing to deploy and help around the country.

Every eight minutes, the American Red Cross responds to a disaster. Last year, the Central Appalachia Region responded to 1,100 house fires to provide care, comfort, compassion, direct aid and resources to those affected by these disasters. In addition, over 70 local volunteers deployed all over the country to be there when our country needed them the most.
