We understand the importance of commencement for our graduates, their families and friends. With the guidance of our COVID-19 advisory team, the University is hosting in-person ceremonies for the Class of 2021 May 15-16 at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium (rain or shine).
We are also excited to welcome back our May, August and December 2020 graduates to participate and celebrate their achievements.

To protect the health and safety of members of the WVU community, ceremonies will take place with COVID restrictions in effect. It is important that all attendees adhere to the university’s campus safety protocols at all times while on campus.
Masks and physical distancing will be required. All graduates were required to register to allow us to meet this restriction. Due to health and safety protocols, ticket distribution for guests is limited to seven per graduate with one being for the graduate.
Additional reminders:
· Masks will be required and enforced at all times.
· Guests and family units will be seated six feet apart in the stadium. Please be respectful of others who may not be vaccinated and maintain your distance.
· Keep your hands clean and avoid touching your face. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the stadium.
· Send an air hug or virtual high five to friends and family who are not part of your bubble or unit.
· If you are or feel sick, stay at home.
If you are traveling and not vaccinated, it's especially important to continue following all precautions including wearing masks, avoiding crowds and staying physically distanced of at least six feet. If you are not vaccinated, the CDC recommends against international travel and encourages testing 3 to 5 days after returning or if any symptoms develop.
To provide a safer environment for guests and to ease entry into the stadium, WVU Athletics’ Clear Bag Policy will apply for all commencement ceremonies.
Each ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. The webcast link will go live a few minutes prior to ceremony time.
