West Virginia University’s Auxiliary and Business Services team announced several organizational updates this week designed to create greater efficiencies, simplify operations and enhance service offerings within the organization:
The Transportation and Parking team has been decoupled, with Parking transitioning under Facilities and Services and Transportation moving under the Planning, Design, Construction and Scheduling organization. LeeAnn Fox will lead the Parking team and will report directly to Jamie Kosik. Jeremy Evans will lead the Transportation team and will report into Joe Patten.
The Warehouse Operations team, which previously was part of the Facilities and Services organization, has transitioned under Procurement, Contracting and Payment Services. This change is designed to promote more collaboration across these teams and ensure a smoother procurement-to-delivery process.
Natalie Caravasos has been named the interim leader of the Environmental Health and Safety team, and a search is underway for a new permanent leader for this organization. Environmental Health and Safety will continue to be part of the Facilities and Services organization.
Ted Svehlik, associate vice president of Auxiliary and Business Services, said, “Throughout the past year, the ABS team has stepped up to support the needs of our campus community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and I truly appreciate the work our team has done to keep our students, faculty and staff safe and our campus operating as smoothly as possible. However, the pandemic also has brought to light some opportunities for us to better align our organization, and I am confident these changes will position ABS to further enhance the services we provide the University.”
