WVU will host Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine clinic April 20

covid vaccine vaccination clinic

West Virginia University is hosting its next COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Tuesday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center (view map).

WVU will provide the Pfizer vaccine at the clinic. The Pfizer vaccine requires a second dose, which will be administered at the WVU vaccine clinic on Tuesday, May 11.

Priority will be given to those students, faculty and staff who previously have expressed interest in receiving a vaccine and scheduled an appointment in advance via the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS). However, walk-in appointments also will be accepted.

Instructions for creating a profile in the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) and scheduling your first-dose appointment are available on the Return to Campus website.

If you have not previously completed a WVU questionnaire but would like to receive a vaccine from the University this semester, you still may do so at go.wvu.edu/covid-vaccine-survey. Students and employees who completed a prior WVU questionnaire do not need to complete a new survey.

All walk-in appointments will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students, faculty and staff who have yet to be vaccinated for COVID-19 are encouraged to visit the Student Recreation Center on Tuesday. The University also is accepting walk-ins from the general public (e.g., friends and family members), regardless of their state of residence.

WVU strongly recommends all students and employees be vaccinated for COVID-19. If you have questions about the safety and efficacy of the vaccine, the University suggests speaking with your primary care physician or a representative from WVU Medicine Student Health. Those administering vaccines at the Student Recreation Center also can answer any questions you may have during your appointment.
