Faculty, staff invited to ‘Supporting Student Mental Health’ workshop

The Office of the Provost invites faculty and staff to a new upcoming workshop about common and pandemic-specific student mental health concerns and ways to communicate about mental health with students Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 1-2 p.m.

The “Supporting Student Mental Health Workshop” will also explain how to refer students to available mental health resources on campus and offer coping strategies and resources that may be helpful to faculty and staff when addressing students’ mental health-related issues. Presenters include T. Anne Hawkins, director of the WVU Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services, and Claire Barbetti, supervised staff psychologist at the Carruth Center.
