As WVU begins its planning efforts for how we may operate in a post-COVID-19 world, the Division of Talent and Culture and the Office of the Provost are seeking feedback from faculty and staff on their experiences while working remotely.

Throughout this year, WVU’s faculty and staff have demonstrated a tremendous amount of agility and poise in responding to challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As we approach winter, the most difficult days of the pandemic perhaps may be ahead of us. However, the development and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines holds the promise of beginning to return to some sense of normalcy in the coming months.

Beginning in March of this year, many faculty and staff members transitioned to a remote work arrangement — either in a full-time or hybrid capacity.

Take the WVU Remote Work Pulse Survey

The University is using a new platform — called Waggl — for conducting the WVU Remote Work Pulse survey. Waggl is an employee voice platform WVU is evaluating for obtaining real-time insights to drive action and alignment around critical topics.

The Office of Health Promotion and Wellness will be using the Waggl platform for a survey focused on how well the University is addressing employees’ wellbeing. That survey will launch in early January, so stay tuned to ENEWS for details.

All benefits-eligible faculty and staff employed by WVU (including those located at the WVU Keyser and WVU Beckley campuses), WVU Research Corporation and WVU Innovation Corporation are invited to take part in the WVU Remote Work Pulse Survey.

The survey will take approximately five minutes to complete. All responses will be kept anonymous and confidential. However, please note we have included a demographics section in the survey to help us better understand the results.

The survey responses will be used to help the University understand expectations among faculty and staff for potential remote work options beyond the pandemic. The feedback also will help us in designing possible longer-term remote work plans that support WVU’s culture and promote employee engagement.

Thank you for making your voice heard by participating in the WVU Remote Work Pulse Survey.
