Annual increment pay will be issued on July 24

WVU employees who have three or more years of state-qualifying service receive annual increment pay each year in July. The annual increment amount is $60 for each full year of qualifying service.

WVU will issue the annual increment pay to qualifying University employees on Friday, July 24, and the payment will be electronically deposited into the employee’s primary bank account. 

All qualifying employees on temporary furlough who are returning to work on July 26 will receive their annual increment pay on Friday, July 31. The payment will be electronically deposited into the employee’s primary bank account.

The following deductions will be taken out of the annual increment pay:

  • Retirement – 6 percent

  • FICA (Social Security) – 6.20 percent

  • MED (Medicare) – 1.45 percent

  • Federal Taxes – 22 percent 

  • State Taxes – West Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Virginia and Ohio – 3 percent

  • State Tax – Pennsylvania – 3.07 percent
