As shared during last week’s Return to Campus Conversation, West Virginia University is requiring* all students, faculty and staff who will be on campus this fall to undergo COVID-19 testing.**
Who is required to undergo tested?
- Students taking classes on campus this fall.
- Faculty and staff who will be exclusively working on campus this fall.
- "Hybrid" employees who frequently will be working on campus — even if it's not every day.
Who is not required to be tested?
- Students taking classes exclusively online this fall.
- Faculty and staff who will continue to work remotely or those who will not physically be on campus full-time this fall.
- WVU Extension Service agents in the field. Note: Extension Service agents are welcome to travel to a campus testing site if they choose.
Registration Process:
Students, faculty and staff will receive an email with a link to myhousing.wvu.edu to register for testing. The myhousing.wvu.edu website is built upon StarRez (WVU’s housing portal).
When you receive your link to register, please carefully follow these instructions to access StarRez and choose your preferred testing date/time.
Morgantown faculty and staff: A registration email was sent on Monday, July 13, to faculty and staff in Morgantown who will be working on campus this fall. Employees based in Morgantown who are on temporary furlough will receive the email to schedule testing upon their return.
Morgantown students: Registration emails will be sent beginning Monday, July 20, to students in Morgantown who will be attending classes on campus this fall.
Beckley and Keyser faculty, staff and students: A registration email will be sent on Monday, Aug. 3, to students, faculty and staff at WVU Institute of Technology and WVU Potomac State College who will be attending classes or working on campus this fall.
