Avoid changing Login password while working remotely if you’re using a WVU-owned computer

If you are using a WVU-owned computer to work remotely, please avoid changing your Login password unless you believe your account has been compromised. This process requires extra steps for Windows machines when you are not on the campus network. Failure to follow this process may cause you to get locked out of your account and your device. 

If you use a WVU-owned Apple device, do not change your Login password without contacting either your college IT support or the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.

If you are using a personally owned computer, or you are on the WVU campus network, you won’t be affected by this issue.
