Faculty are encouraged to apply to mentor undergraduates in scholarly activity via the SURE program and to inform their undergraduates that SURE applications are now open (Mar. 2 application deadline). SURE is a paid undergraduate research experience for students interested in graduate school and research/creative work within their discipline or a related discipline. 2020 SURE program dates are May 26-July 24.

1) Due to funding limitations, participation in the funded portion of WVU SURE may be limited to one time per undergraduate.
2) The NSF-funded KY-WV LSAMP Alliance provides funding to support an additional 5+ undergraduate STEM majors in SURE who are also underrepresented persons (e.g., Hispanic, African-American) and U.S. citizens/permanent residents of U.S. or its territories. WVU students who fit these demographics are encouraged to apply to SURE.
