The Office of Technology Transfer will host Kramer Amado, presenting on Public Disclosures and Patent Rights Nov. 14 from 4-7 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center.
Are you concerned about what you can and can’t disclose to your co-workers, colleagues, non-university co-developers or even in grant proposals? In today’s multidisciplinary projects it’s often necessary to work outside of your organization and share information with other researchers at other institutions and across the world. This presentation will provide you the basics for what is currently considered prior art for purposes of obtaining a patent and how what you do or don’t do can be extremely important to patent protection. We’ll give you case studies of how public disclosure has been treated by the courts and will be available for any questions you may have.
The event will begin with a presentation and Q&A session followed by a reception.
RSVP/register for Public Disclosures and Patent Rights.
