“Dispelling the Myths about Open Access: Making Informed Choices about Open Access Publishing Opportunities” is a free Research Commons workshop that will define characteristics of open access vs. traditional publishing venues, discuss ways to evaluate open access journal quality, including the identification of predatory journals; list tools available to find an appropriate journal in which to publish, and discuss ways in which WVU Libraries is supporting WVU authors to publish in open access journals.
