To continue protecting your personal computers, tablets and smartphones with WVU’s free anti-virus, you must install Sophos before August 31. WVU’s license agreement with Kaspersky ends that day, and you will then have to pay Kaspersky for any new software updates.

To download Sophos, go to freeav.wvu.edu. After providing your WVU email address, Sophos will send an activation code and account setup instructions. ITS recommends registering your Sophos account using a personal email address, which you can use to manage your personal devices. Install the software on as many as three personally-owned computers.
