April 7-13 is National Library Week, an annual celebration highlighting the roles libraries, librarians and library workers play in transforming lives and communities. The Morgantown Public Library System has scheduled a series of open house events titled Conversation and Cupcakes to occur at every location in Monongalia County. Director Sarah Palfrey and board members will be available at each event to listen and answer questions about services, volunteer opportunities and the future of the Morgantown Public Library System.
“Our goal this year is to celebrate the uniqueness of each location and begin the collaborative work of planning for their future. Bring your stories, your ideas, and your dreams. We can’t wait to hear them,” Palfrey said.
Libraries build strong communities, but not without community help.
