International students face unique adversity when entering the U.S. job market in addition to the typical job search challenges. This career symposium Feb. 22  from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Room 109 in the Mineral Resources Building on the Evansdale Campus is designed to specifically address those challenges such as cultural differences in the job search process and common mistakes by international students in finding H1B visa sponsors.

The afternoon session will feature a host of experts including an immigration attorney designed to provide an overview of the start to finish steps on how international students and their employers can secure temporary and permanent employment-based visa status. Whether you're about to graduate, seeking an internship, or just beginning your college career, the information presented at this symposium will help you be a more successful and prepared applicant. If you have any questions, contact International Students and Scholars Services.

To reserve a seat, register by Feb. 20.

Sponsors by  Career Services Center, Office of Global Affairs and Office of Graduate Education and Life.
