The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU is currently seeking volunteer instructors to teach a wide variety of courses for our spring term, including the arts, literature, history, philosophy and religion, current events, political affairs, science, math, health and wellness and more for our campuses in Morgantown and Charleston.

Environmental Health and Safety has released an updated Chemical Hygiene Program. The Chemical Hygiene Program applies to all laboratory personnel who handle and may be exposed to hazardous chemicals during the course of their work according to the Laboratory Standard (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1450).

For the second straight year, West Virginia University’s online graduate program in software engineering has been ranked in the top 15 nationwide by U.S. News & World Report in its Best Online Program rankings. The program, offered by the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, joins a number of other WVU programs – online hybrid MBA (47 out of 267), nursing (51 out 154) and business (non-MBA) (63 out of 158) – that were featured in the rankings released today (Jan. 9).
West Virginia University is expanding its efforts to propel West Virginia’s workforce into today’s digital economy. WVU recently was awarded a Digital Economy Initiative grant through Cisco’s donor-advised fund at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
