WVU employees will notice a change in their federal income tax withholding beginning on their Feb. 2 paycheck. The Internal Revenue Service has updated the income-tax withholding tables for 2018, reflecting changes made by the tax reform legislation enacted in December 2017.

 Jesse Lackey, Trevor Kiess, Timothy Eads and Troy Salatino will compete in a cheer-off Monday (Feb. 12) to be the next WVU Mountaineer Mascot.   

Four finalists will don the buckskins and carry the musket Monday (Feb. 12) in competition to be the next West Virginia University Mountaineer Mascot. The cheer-off will be held during the men's basketball game vs. Texas Christian University at 9 p.m. in the WVU Coliseum.

From the moment Caitlin Ahrens picked up her first geology book in junior high, she never stopped exploring her curiosity. She graduated from WVU’s Eberly College of Arts and Sciences in 2015 with bachelor of science degrees in geology and physics with an emphasis in astrophysics.

The Center for Executive Education, which is housed in the College of Business and Economics, will offer the Project Management Professional certification on six consecutive Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., from Feb. 21 to March 28. Registration deadline is Friday (Feb. 16).

 

Registration is now open for the 3rd annual WVU Rural Health Day on April 14 at the WVU Health Sciences Center in Morgantown. The purpose of WVU Rural Health Day is to give pre-health students interested in rural medicine the opportunity to hear about and participate in activities that will enhance, impassion, and provide support in the sometimes daunting path to applying to medical school.
