Students from the WVU Occupational Therapy program participated in the West Virginia Occupational Therapy Association Legislative Day Tuesday (Feb. 13), talking to state legislators about ways that Occupational Therapy practitioners can address the health of state residents.

Several members of the Department of Otolaryngology recently attended the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological (Triologic) Society winter meeting at Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Steven Wetmore, Professor and Romeo and Maria Lim Chair of Otolaryngology, was Guest of Honor of the Triologic Society and received the award from Dr. Hassan Ramadan, Vice President of Southern Section.

Forty students from WVU and WVU Tech will showcase their research today (Feb. 16) in the Capitol Rotunda in Charleston. The WVU Office of Undergraduate Research coordinates the event, which involves students from colleges and universities from around West Virginia.

Six members of the West Virginia women's basketball team were named to the 2018 Academic All-Big 12 Women's Basketball Team. Redshirt junior center Theresa Ekhelar, senior forward Kristina King, junior guard Katrina Pardee and redshirt freshman guard Nia Staples were named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team. Redshirt freshman forward Krystaline McCune and senior guard Chania Ray earned mention on the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team.
