A new partnership has formed between West Virginia University’s Jackson’s Mill, the Finishing Trades Institute of West Virginia located in Weston and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 53 to use the Jackson’s Mill facility as an additional training ground for painting apprentices this summer.

More than 250 cattlemen will gather March 22 at noon at the WVU Reymann Memorial Farm to participate in the 51st annual Wardensville Bull Sale, during which 100 performance tested bulls will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The sale is the culminating event of the Wardensville Bull Evaluation Program, more commonly referred to as the Wardensville Bull Test.

Paul A. Offit, M.D., has built an international reputation defending science and medicine against attack. But he doesn’t think scientists never make mistakes. He’s planning to visit West Virginia University March 23 to talk about what we can learn from the laboratory mishaps of the past.
Jennifer Boyd, PA-C, clinical coordinator with the West Virginia Primary Care Association and family practice physician’s assistant at the New River Health Association, and William Lewis, M.D., family medicine physician with Harpers Ferry Family Medicine and associate professor at West Virginia University Eastern Division, have recently been named co-directors of the West Virginia Practice-Based Research Network.
