Jeffrey Allen Steiger, artistic director of the CRLT Players at the University of Michigan, and his theatre troupe will perform for campus leaders at the 2018 Chairs’ Symposium Aug. 13. The morning session, “On The Line,” will be an interactive performance about a living case study demonstrating how to mitigate bias and equity in tenure and promotion practices. Department Chairs/Unit Leaders and Faculty Evaluation Committee Chairs for their corresponding units should attend this session. In the afternoon, there will be a performance and workshop called “Bystander Intervention,” which will explore bystander dynamics and mediation strategies in communication, policies, and processes.
The Symposium is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. To attend either or both sessions, RSVP to dmpancoast@mail.wvu.edu by no later than August 3.
