Community Music Program's Oldtime Fiddle Workshops winding down for summer

The Community Music Program Oldtime Fiddle Workshops are concluding with only one more stand-alone, one-evening workshop: Tuesday (June 26) from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., in the WVU Creative Arts Center. The workshop focuses on traditional fiddle tunes and styles from the Appalachian region. Music is taught by ear, keeping with the oral tradition; but sheet music can be provided upon request. The workshop is open to intermediate level string players, ages 10-adult. Some knowledge of how to play the instrument is required, but Oldtime experience is not.
