WVU Core Arboretum Mountaineer Audubon Spring Bird Walks

The Core Arboretum.
Welcome back the migrant songbirds as they return from their winter ranges May 15, at 7:30 a.m. An anticipated annual event, this is the last Mountaineer Audubon spring bird walk this year. The walks are led by members of Mountaineer Audubon Society who will identify birds by sight and sound for participants and help everyone learn to appreciate the wonder of spring migration. Last year, in the course of four bird walks, more than 70 species of birds were seen and/or heard. These guided tours are free, and will meet in the Arboretum parking lot. Additional free parking is available at the nearby WVU Coliseum. No reservations are needed. Dress appropriately for the weather and for hiking. More information is available on  the Core Arboretum website
