Horticulture students to offer container planting workshop

A beautiful potted plant.

Students from the Davis College Horticulture program will offer a workshop Saturday (April 21) at 11 a.m. on "Thriller, Filler and Spiller" container plantings at the Evansdale Greenhouse. The event is free and open to the public. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase plants to make their own planters.

This event is being held in conjunction with the WVU Garden Center, which will be open this Friday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to  5 p.m. The garden center is a collaboration between the Evansdale Greenhouse and WVU Horticulture Club and all plants are grown on site. A broad selection of annual and perennial flowers, herbs, vegetable transplants and indoor succulents are available.
