This three-session class (over three weeks) is designed for adults who depend on their voices: singers, clinicians, actors, teachers, coaches, clergy, announcers, lawyers, salespeople, or people who simply suffer from vocal fatigue. Offered by the School of Music Community Music Program, this class — taught by William Koehler, Assistant Professor of Voice, in Music at WVU— will teach you how to link your voice to your breath and body to make you more easily heard and understood, to help eliminate vocal fatigue, increase stamina, and allow for a more rapid recovery from overuse. Be heard and understood without shouting. Take the mystery out of producing a vibrant, resonant voice that will carry to the back of the room regardless of how far away. The classes will be held Thursdays Feb. 15, Feb. 22 and March 1 from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center. For more information, contact the Community Music Program at 304.293.6946.
